Harry Manilow Declares a Bowl Emergency

So there I am — mid-strut — absolutely glowing, when my internal alarm system goes off.

Not a beep.
Not a gentle nudge.

A full-volume, red-alert, DEFCON-ONE BOWL SITUATION.

I freeze.

One paw up.
Eyes narrow.
Wind machine appears (unconfirmed but felt).

Across the store… THE BAGS.

FirstMate.

I approach like I’m in a very low-budget action movie. Slow motion. Intense sniffing. Someone gasps. A chew hits the floor and accepts its fate.

I sniff once.

I sniff again.

Then I do the thing where I stare into the middle distance like a dog who has unlocked a secret most are not ready for.

Single-meat proteins.
Limited ingredients.
No weird stuff trying to sneak into my system and ruin my legacy.

I look at my humans.

I don’t bark.
I don’t blink.

Because this is not a conversation.
This is a decision.

I sit.

Perfect.
Regal.
Final.

They understand immediately.

This is not “trying a new food.”
This is Harry Manilow’s Food Choice for January and frankly I don’t see it changing anytime soon.

I take a bite.

Time slows.
A choir I hired with store credit sings somewhere in the distance.
My tail gives one controlled wag — because I have standards.

My stomach feels calm.
My spirit feels aligned.
My bowl feels respected.

I turn to the room.

Fanilows.

Listen closely.

If your dog has ever looked at their food like, “Is this a threat?”
If your dog has ever needed fewer ingredients and more trust…
If your dog deserves a bowl that does not betray them at 2 a.m.

This. Is. The. Food.

So here is your official invitation:

Come to Zoomies & Purr.
FirstMate is our featured food right now.
It’s 10% off through the end of January.
We have samples.

Yes, samples.
Because I would never keep joy to myself.

Bring your dog.
Let them sniff.
Let them decide.

But don’t be surprised if they sit suddenly and stare at you like I do.

That’s how you’ll know.

With authority, fluff, and extremely good taste,
Harry Manilow
